Get Streaming Help To Troubleshoot the Roku Issues

If you are new to streaming media players, or Roku devices, you might be wondering if you’d ever need a troubleshoot. Well, there’s one positive thing. In Roku Streaming players, you’re never prone to major troubles. There’ll be a pop error here and there, very rarely, that you’ll never need the help of the Roku streaming help. But on the flip side, you’ll need some experience in handling Roku devices.

For most of the errors, you’ll simply have to do one of the two steps.

  1. You can restart the device from the main screen.
  2. Or, if you are stuck with a screen and not able to proceed and restart, you’ll have to manually unplug Roku from power source, and restart the device after a fifteen second window.

One of these two should work for more than 8 in 10 complaints in Roku streaming help.

If there is anything else you’ll need a little help with, is the network part. If you face network connectivity issues, even after the traditional unplug and plug in modem, then follow these steps.

  1. Login to your router. (Usually this is done through an internal IP address). You enter this IP address directly into your web browser same as you would a website. Please note that some people actually enter web addresses into Google, and then navigate that way. This won’t work.
  2. Enter the IP address directly into the browser’s Location or Navigation bar at the top. This will take you to your router’s login screen. Also note that sometimes the router’s default password is “password”. But it’s possible that your password was changed during installation. If you don’t have your router’s password, contact your Internet provider.
  3. Once logged into your router, navigate to its DNS settings.
  4. Replace the internal DNS address with a public DNS address. What usually works is using Google’s public DNS. So set DNS1 to 8.8.8.8 and DNS2 to 8.8.4.4.
  5. Please don’t forget to save your settings.
  6. Run the Roku com link Account setup again. If you still aren’t able to connect to the Internet, then bounce (unplug) the router. There is a 15 second rule that works well for every gadget. If your Roku’s internet is still not responding, please follow the same with your Roku as well.
  7. If you’ve set the DNS properly, your Roku should now be able to connect to the Internet. When this happens, it will complete its setup process and you should be good to go.
